If you own a "Windows" computer, open up the program "PAINT".
(if you own a Mac, just use any painting program to find colors)

Then "double click" on any of the lower color boxes in paint, and click on "define custom colors" button.
You will now see a rainbow grid of color.(see picture below)
You can move your "selection" tool around by clicking, and dragging it around.
You can also select the brightness of it on the right side.

When you have reached the desired color, write down the Red Green Blue numbers.
Then enter these numbers into the Red Green Blue boxes of the 2nd line above.

Then click the button on the top of this page,
to the right of your numbers.

You should see the whole background of this page change to your color.
If you like it, write down the hex code it converted, to use for your site.

For example, if you wanted a site that had a dark red left margin, and a dark gold main page...
then you would have found that your margin's hex code is 8B0000, and you main page is 8B730B.

You can use this method to come up with any color in the rainbow, if you have the time.

By doing this, you have chosen your colors to use on your site.
